The 100 funders included in this directory represent the wealthiest that were set up over the course of 2025.
 
Overall, we saw wealth connected to these funders at around £45 billion down from £137bn last year, but on par with what we have seen in recent years. Many of those new grant makers are now connected to companies and asset management firms, a move from ‘old money’ to ‘newly generated wealth’.
 
Of the 100 newly established trusts, many have significant wealth, including:
• 12 with billionaires
• 26 worth over £100 million
• 81 worth over £10 million
 
There are some familiar names within this publication, and a great deal of less well known individuals who have seen significant increases in wealth through investment decisions, or through selling their companies.
