Several remarkable people established new grant makers this month, including: Natasha and Adar Poonawalla, with the family wealth estimated as $19.5bn; Manolo Blahnik, the shoe designer worth around £200m, Lord loomba's family, worth around £20m and the Uk company Britishvolt, which recently received £100m from the Government to develop a large scale battery manufacturing facility.
