Trust List October 2021
This edition sees a continuation of the slow number of new charity registrations this year. Yet, whilst the overall number of new charities is down, the number of new grant makers is less affected. Over the past 10 years there were an average of 73 new grant makers registered in preceding Octobers, against an actual of 74 this month.
As always, along with the classic 'relief, education and health', we see several trusts interested in animal welfare, conservation, several medical and mental health charities, and young people.
Fewer remarkable people have set up trusts this month, but notable names include Leon Crouch, former businessman and Chair of Southampton football club, George and Constantine Logothetis (they're worth around £650m), and Lord Londesborough have all set up trusts.
