There are 89 new grant makers in this edition (up from 79 last month) against a rolling 12 month average of 101, with just 19 trusts (15 last month) highlighted through prospect research, against an average of 29. Once again, a very slow month.
Along with the classic 'relief, education and health', we see several trusts interested in animal welfare, Armed Forces, conservation, community support, sustainable development and young people. In addition, we have seen a significant increase in new grant makers citing strong religious interests (Christian, Judaism and Islam), along with relief, community or social welfare.
