Trust List October 2020
This edition continues to see average levels of charity registrations after a significant drop in August. There are 114 new grant makers in this edition, against a rolling 12 month average of 99, with 28 trusts highlighted through prospect research, against an average of 28. Overall a good month.
As always, along with the classic 'relief, education and health', we see several trusts interested in the amateur sport, animal welfare, conservation, community support, music & the arts, social inclusion and young people. In addition, there are just 2 new medical grant makers covering cancer as well as 7 new Lions Clubs (good for local fundraising).
Several wealthy individuals were involved in setting up new grant makers this month, including the principal auctioneer for Sotheby's, who recently saw his own Turner painting sell for £20m to help fund the upkeep of his home.
