Trust List September 2020
This edition sees a return to average levels of charity registrations after a significant drop last month. There are 100 new grant makers in this edition, against a rolling 12 month average of 99, with 29 trusts highlighted through prospect research, against an average of 28.
As always, along with the classic 'relief, education and health', we see several trusts interested in the Armed Forces, animal welfare, Christian causes, conservation, community support, music & the arts, social inclusion and young people. In addition, there are 9 new medical grant makers covering cancer and other conditions (including support for people with bad elbows and shoulders) as well as 4 new Lions Clubs (good for local fundraising).
Several wealthy individuals were involved in setting up new grant makers this month, including Sir John Riblat (worth £232m) and Stelio Stefanou (worth around £140m). As always, there are several generalists, so there should be something for everyone.
