Trust List June 2020
This edition continues a significant rise in the numbers of new grant makers registering; once again we have over 100 in this edition. There have only been 10 instances of more than 100 trusts in any given month since our publication began in 2011, 7 of those since November 2019.
As always, along with the classic 'relief, education and health', we see several trusts interested in conservation, community support, music, the arts, yoga and young people. In addition, there are 8 new medical grant makers covering cancer and other conditions (as well as two new grant makers supporting Covid-19) as well as 9 new Lions Clubs (good for local fundraising).
Several wealthy individuals were involved in setting up new grant makers this month, including several well known individuals, a billionaire and Captain Tom Moore, the centenarian who raised over £32m through walking 100 laps of his garden has had a charity set up on his behalf.
