Trust List January 2018
January was fairly typical in terms of the 12 month rolling average, but significantly up on previous Januaries. It is good to see that a typically quiet time of year is still experiencing a large volume of new registrations.
As always, along with the classic 'relief, education and health', we see several trusts interested in conservation, a range of medical causes (particularly cancer), social welfare and good citizenship, and even support for libraries.
There are some very wealthy people involved with these new grant makers, with a Billionaire, a publisher, big City Chairman (and Lord) and a sportsman who holds the world record for continuous rowing (a staggering 3 days 17 hrs).
As always, the wealthiest grant makers tend to be generalists, so there should be something for everyone in this month's list.
